Project Introduction

Proudly NZ-owned, FMI has expanded into Australia and is preparing for further international growth. At the same time, the business has evolved beyond traditional manufacturing, investing in robotics, automation and digital tools that transform how customers interact with them.

We were already partnering with FMI on key digital tools – including their customer portal, warranty system and upcoming glass ordering system. When it came time to rethink their website, the next step was obvious. They needed a digital presence worthy of their forward-thinking approach.

Challenges

FMI’s existing website no longer represented the scale or direction the business was heading. It felt local, while the company had already moved well beyond that stage.

The brand had matured. The product offering had expanded. New digital tools were reshaping how customers engaged with FMI. Yet the website didn’t communicate that shift.

They needed a platform that could:

  • Present FMI as a multi-market, future-focused glass manufacturer
  • Clearly position new verticals, including robotics and automation
  • Unify their digital tools into one coherent ecosystem
  • Support staged delivery, with room to scale as the business grows.

Solutions

We delivered a modern Next.js website powered by a headless CMS, giving FMI a high-performance platform built for scale and flexibility.

We restructured the site to reflect their expanding footprint, adding Australian offices and positioning their international reach. A dedicated Automation section highlights their move into robotics and advanced manufacturing, while a new blog supports ongoing thought leadership and SEO visibility.

Stronger calls-to-action guide users through key journeys – from technical documentation to product enquiries. We modernised and integrated the technical resources area, maintaining secure login access for fabricators, builders, architects and developers.
An interactive timeline reinforces credibility and momentum, while the redesigned team directory makes it easier to navigate roles and expertise.

Behind the scenes, the platform integrates with FMI’s wider digital ecosystem – including the customer portal, warranty system and future glass ordering tool. The website now acts as the front door to a connected suite of products, rather than a standalone brochure.

The result is a future-ready website that supports FMI’s vision and sets the stage for continued international growth.

Outcome

Elevated brand to reflect global scale and innovation
